THE GREAT STAINED GLASS BEGINNER COURSE

This death defying, exhilarating 24 hour course teaches you both techniques of making stained glass. Yes, that’s right folks, we cover it all- copperfoil and lead- even Tiffany Lamps. This is the same course we taught for Humber College for fifteen years. During the eight weeks (at 3 hours/night)(or six weeks at 4 hours/day time classes) you will make a copperfoil window hanging, a small lead panel and a Tiffany style lampshade. Inside studio techniques will be shared and instruction will be supplemented by an incredible number of handouts and watching the ongoing work of our own studio.

Classes are held in our 2000 sq.ft  classroom with free use of equipment such as grinders and soldering irons. Students are also welcome to use this space at their leisure outside of classroom hours. There is even a reference library..

As with anywhere else, personal hand tools will need to be purchased. This averages from $50- $100. Being ever so helpful, we put together several attractive toolkits generously discounted, from $40.00 and up (go here). While purchasing a kit is optional, we require that whatever tools students purchase, a carbide wheel glass cutter and grozing pliers are mandatory to take the class.

Cost for 24 hours is $189.00 (+GST) and this includes all the materials you'll need for your first two projects- and we mean everything! (glass, foil, solder, lead, extensive handouts, heck even band aids, etc
